Tijuana, Mexico, July 31, 2023. — Jason Vorderstrasse, then Labor Attaché from the United States Consulate, visited Call Center Services International's (CCSI) Otay facilities in Tijuana, Mexico. The visit provided an opportunity to learn about CCSI's Nearshore Contact Center model and meet members of its bilingual workforce firsthand.
The visit was hosted by Jorge Oros, President of Call Center Services International, and Sarai Gonzales, CCSI's Otay Site Director at the time. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss CCSI's operations in Tijuana and the company's role in connecting U.S. organizations with bilingual Contact Center talent in Mexico.
During the visit, Jorge Oros discussed CCSI's commitment to creating professional employment opportunities in the region, including opportunities for workers with cross-border experience. He also shared the company's history and its role in helping U.S. organizations connect with Mexico's skilled bilingual workforce through Nearshore Contact Center operations.
The discussion also highlighted CCSI's mission and values and the importance of workforce development in building long-term Nearshore operations.
Sarai Gonzales, CCSI's Otay Site Director at the time, provided a tour of the facility and introduced the infrastructure, technology, and operational environment supporting CCSI's Contact Center services.
The visit also provided an opportunity to meet members of CCSI's bilingual and bicultural workforce and learn how Nearshore teams in Tijuana support U.S.-based client operations.
CCSI's Otay Contact Center remains part of the company's Nearshore facilities in Mexico. Located in Tijuana's International Business Park near the U.S.-Mexico border, the facility was designed to support large-scale Contact Center operations with professional business infrastructure and technology.
The July 2023 visit highlighted the relationship between Nearshore outsourcing, employment opportunities in the border region, and the close economic connections between Southern California and Baja California.
For CCSI, Tijuana's proximity to the United States has long been an important part of its Nearshore model, providing access to bilingual talent while allowing U.S. clients to remain closely connected with their Mexico operations.
The visit also represented an opportunity for CCSI to share its experience developing Contact Center operations in the region and demonstrate how Nearshore services can contribute to cross-border business collaboration.
The U.S. Consulate General in Tijuana advances the bilateral relationship throughout the Baja peninsula, one of the most interconnected areas along the U.S.-Mexico border.
