In May 2018, Call Center Services International (CCSI) continued celebrating its 10th anniversary by recognizing long-service employees whose dedication, performance, and loyalty had helped the company grow from a single contact center with 50 agents into a multi-location nearshore organization in Mexico.
In March 2018, Call Center Services International celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of helping North American companies establish and manage nearshore contact center operations in Mexico.
The celebration continued on May 3–4, 2018, when CCSI recognized employees with between four and ten years of service for their performance, commitment, and loyalty to the organization.
The anniversary ceremonies were held at CCSI's two Tijuana contact center locations: Plaza Agua Caliente and the Otay Center.
Both locations remain part of CCSI's current nearshore contact center facilities in Mexico.
Awards were presented to long-standing employees by Eric Esparza, who served as President of CCSI at the time; Frank Esparza, VP of Sales & Marketing; and Jorge Oros, then VP of Operations.
The ceremonies were held at the Plaza Agua Caliente Center and CCSI's then-new 85,000-square-foot Otay Contact Center, located in Tijuana's International Business Park near the U.S.-Mexico border.
Today, both facilities remain part of CCSI's Tijuana operating footprint, with the Otay Center providing capacity for up to 1,500 seats.
Addressing the employees during the anniversary celebration, Eric Esparza emphasized that CCSI's growth depended on the people working throughout the organization:
“You are the reason that we can do this. We kind of steer the ship, but you guys are the engine and we thank you guys for all your hard work and dedication.”
— Eric Esparza, President of CCSI at the time
Recognizing employees for their contribution was more than part of an anniversary event. It reflected an approach to workforce development that remains central to CCSI's company culture: creating an environment where employees are recognized, supported, developed, and given opportunities to grow within the organization.
The celebration also provided an opportunity to reflect on how much CCSI had changed during its first decade.
CCSI began in 2008 with three clients and approximately 50 agents in one location.
By the company's 10th anniversary in 2018, CCSI reported serving approximately 20 clients with more than 800 employees across three nearshore locations in Mexico.
Those figures represent CCSI as it existed at the time of the anniversary celebration and are preserved here as part of the company's historical record.
Jorge Oros reflected on the impact that CCSI's growth had created for employees and communities in Mexico:
“We realize all the potential that we have here in Mexico, all the jobs that we have been able to generate, all the people’s lives we have been able to change. At first, it was hard, but we’ve been through a lot in these last 10 years and everyone here has been part of this big dream, the CCSI family.”
— Jorge Oros, VP of Operations at the time
Frank Esparza also thanked employees and looked ahead to continued growth:
“I just want to thank you guys, these 10 years have been great. Let’s have another 10 great years and continue to bring great jobs here in Tijuana and Mexico City.”
— Frank Esparza, VP of Sales & Marketing
At the time of the celebration, CCSI's operations included facilities in Tijuana and Mexico City.
CCSI's geographic footprint has since expanded to include Guadalajara, giving clients access to three strategic workforce markets across Mexico.
The company's current strategic nearshore locations allow organizations to select between different recruitment markets, business environments, infrastructure, travel access, and workforce profiles while maintaining a consistent CCSI operating model.
Today, CCSI's Mexico facilities include Plaza Agua Caliente and Otay in Tijuana, Reforma 93 and Reforma 99 in Mexico City, and the Guadalajara Country Club location.
The most important part of the 2018 anniversary celebration was not simply the company's growth. It was recognizing the employees who helped make that growth possible.
Employee recognition remains one of the foundations of CCSI's current people-first company culture.
Today, CCSI organizes its employee experience around four major areas:
CCSI's Leadership Program also helps high-potential employees develop the skills, mentorship, and experience required to move into management positions.
That approach builds on the same philosophy expressed during the company's 10th anniversary: people who contribute to the organization's success should have opportunities to be recognized and grow with it.
Employee retention is also important to clients.
Experienced bilingual and bicultural agents accumulate deeper knowledge of client products, processes, systems, customers, and brand expectations over time.
Greater employee seniority can reduce the need for repeated recruiting and onboarding while creating a larger pool of experienced employees who can become trainers, Quality Assurance specialists, team leads, supervisors, managers, and operational leaders.
This connection between Employee Experience and business performance is explored further in CCSI's current article on Employee Experience in Contact Centers.
CCSI's 10th Anniversary celebration was ultimately a recognition of the people who helped build the company during its first decade.
The employees honored in 2018 had remained with CCSI for periods ranging from four to ten years, developing experience that supported clients, coworkers, and the broader organization.
The anniversary also reflected a principle that continues to influence CCSI's approach today: investing in employees can create stronger teams, deeper operational knowledge, greater continuity, and better long-term partnerships with clients.
CCSI's growth has always been connected to the growth of its people. Creating professional opportunities in Mexico while helping U.S. companies build successful nearshore teams remains an important part of that mission.
Companies evaluating a nearshore operation can learn more about CCSI's employee culture, its bilingual and bicultural workforce, and the advantages of establishing a contact center in Mexico.
